The Story
It started with a patent. January 2018: Martin Rudat files for a novel vertical-takeoff aircraft. By August, XFLIGHT GmbH was born — not in a garage, but in the real world of aviation.
Our M1 prototype flew through Porsche Digital's Berlin offices in December 2018. An Airbus chief engineer spent an hour with us instead of five minutes. Siemens eAircraft's VP told us to keep going. But revolution doesn't come easy — after nine months, funds ran dry. The team scattered.
We didn't quit. We rebuilt. From balsa wood gliders to AI-driven drone fleets, from failed funding rounds to 47+ successful missions. XFLIGHT stands for 16 years of building, crashing, learning — and flying where others won't.
